About the event
Please join us for an in-depth presentation by Tammie Membrino, equine massage therapist and owner of Connecticut based Helping Hands for our Equine Friends. She will discuss how massage can increase flexibility and range of motion, release deep muscle tension, prevent injury and support longevity. Therapeutic massage also plays a key role in post-trauma rehabilitation.
Tammie is from Waterbury, Connecticut. She trained in equine sports massage therapy at Equissage in Round Hill, Virginia (founded in 1989 and the first equine massage certificate program in the world). She worked at Rood & RIddle Equine Hosptial in Wellington, Florida where she was immersed in the competitive show horse community. For over twenty years, she has provided bodywork for barrel racers, racehorses, hunter jumpers, eventers, trotters, work horses, backyard companions, as well as senior, arthritic, and rehabilitating horses.
