  • They have read, understood, and signed the official NBLA Liability Waiver required by the Newtown Bridle Lands Association.

  • They understand that participation in horseback riding and related outdoor activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to risks associated with horses, uneven terrain, weather conditions, and interactions with other riders, animals, or participants.

Membership registration through the website constitutes confirmation that the member agrees to these requirements.

NBLA reserves the right to suspend or revoke membership or participation privileges if members fail to comply with the waiver requirements or the Code of Conduct.

Event Participation and Liability Disclaimer

Helmets and proper footwear are required when riding at NBLA events.

Well-Being

The well-being, health, and safety of horses and others are the priority.

Horses must be in proper condition to participate in NBLA events, including:

  • Body condition

  • Hoof condition

  • Overall health

Horses are to be treated with kindness, respect, and compassion.
Horses are not to be corrected with harsh or abusive methods.

Ambassadorship

Members and participants should act as ambassadors for horses and the sport of horseback riding by promoting a positive relationship between horseback riders and others using shared spaces.

Sportsmanship

Members are expected to model fair play, respect, and inclusivity toward all participants and members of the community.

Environment

Members and participants must respect the natural environment.

Participants must:

  • Avoid littering

  • Clean up after their horses

  • Maintain clean areas around trailers and staging locations

  • Help protect the trails and natural resources used during NBLA activities

Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in removal from events or revocation of membership privileges.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, graphics, photographs, logos, and design—is the property of the Newtown Bridle Lands Association unless otherwise noted.
