About the event
Abigail Nemec, Program Chair of Equine Studies at Post University will present. Every horse has a job, from paddock decoration to elite athlete. As the human part of the team, we are well aware of how important behavioral training is for the animal to do the things we ask of them. That's an easy thing to remember! However, we must also be careful that each of our charges is also physically prepared for the challenge of their job. Without both skill training and athletic fitness , we risk injury to our equine friends and ourselves. Abby brings her decades of experience throughout the performance spectrum to help us understand the benefits of good conditioning practice, the various kinds of work that we can do during conditioning, and how to develop a useful and effective conditioning schedule. Bring a big note pad and something to write with, because this will be an information rich session!
