About the event

Garrocha Pole Demonstration followed by a Cowboy Dinner at Happy Trails Farm, 36 Mountainville Rd, Danbury, CT (enter from Willow Lane).

Originating in Spain, the vaqueros (cowboys) used long poles to control their cattle, especially the bulls. Over the years, the art of manipulating this long pole from horseback has evolved as a way to build horsemanship for both the English and Western rider. It is likened to dressage or dancing because of the empathy and coordination required between horse and rider. The demonstration will be run by Ed Prybylski, head cowboy at Happy Trails Farm. The demonstration will be followed by a rustic outdoor cowboy dinner.

There is no charge for this program, but you must be a current NBLA member to attend. Go to the Membership Page of nblact.org to join today.
