Special Feeds for Special Needs: What to Feed Your Horse

Malinda Ferko, an equine nutrition specialist from Cargill Feeds and affiliated with Agriventures Agway in Danbury, will be our speaker on April 15th.  Cargill Feeds is the company that produces Purina, Nutrena, and Pro Elite Horse Feeds.   These companies offer a wide variety of feeds tailored to the many different nutritional requirements of horses. Malinda will speak on “Special Feeds for Special Needs” to help horse owners choose the correct feeds for their horse’s situation. There are so many variables to consider, from your horse’s age, workload, and health issues to their breed and living environment. Bring your equine nutrition questions, and Malinda will try to help you make the best feed decisions for your horse’s continued health. Registration deadline is April 14.
