About the event

Dr. Johanna Kremberg, a partner at Grand Prix Equine, will be presenting on Tuesday, February 25th at 7:00 pm at Sal e Pepe Restaurant in Newtown. She will cover two topics: Tickborne Diseases and Novel Joint Therapies.


It is amazing that a bite from a miniscule arachnid (a tick) can cause a 1000+ lb. animal (the horse) a myriad of symptoms and complications.  In some cases these effects can be life changing for the horse and owner.  Dr. Kremberg will discuss treatment and prevention of tickborne disease. Our horses’ joints are a common source of lameness due to arthritic changes or injuries.  Veterinary care for joints has advanced considerably in the last two decades.  Dr. Kremberg will discuss the latest therapies available for joint issues.
