About the event
Working Equitation is a fun and challenging equestrian sport that welcomes all disciplines. There are several levels for horse and rider teams to participate so there are opportunities from beginner to advanced. The competition consists of 3-4 sections: Dressage, Ease of Handling, Speed Trial and in some events, Working Cattle. In this clinic we will be focusing on the Ease of Handling portion of Working Equitation. Ease of Handling requires navigating a predetermined course of obstacles with precision, harmony and control. The trial should showcase the rider’s communication and training with the horse, demonstrating their ability to handle the horse effectively in various situations. In a competition the judge will score the quality of gaits, working attitude, submission and ease of handling. You can read more about Working Equitation here: READ ME
