The October 27 Frost on the Pumpkin Hunter Pace, held on Mount Nebo Road, was a total success, according to participants and organizers alike. There was actually a light touch of frost on the pumpkins as dawn broke giving way to a cool, sunny, and dry pace day.
There were many smiles as everyone admired the costumes worn by horses and riders, The footing on the trails was perfect after much work undertaken by NBLA members to repair damage from the big flood in August along with many fallen trees. After the ride, live music by the Willie Portera Trio and a hot buffet lunch catered by Tambascio’s Italian Grill were enjoyed. The event culminated in the awards ceremony with many ribbons, platters, and gifts.
